I was so disgusted with the repair being done to my pushmower. Every season it was in for repair for the exact same issue 2-3 times. Picked it up after repaired, took it home and found out it wasn't fixed. I then searched online for BBB. I thought they needed to know what issues I had been dealing with so maybe they could help someone else going thru the same thing. I was so amazed that within 24 hrs, I received a File # on my case and then in another 24 hrs the Company that made the mower contacted me that they had received a complaint thru BBB and her response was "we want your issues to be resolved so we are giving you the amount you paid for the mower in credit at your local store". For the last 4 yrs, no one has been listening to me until I contacted Better Business Bureau. Thank you for your time and effort. This was my first time ever complaining about anything I've purchased and it was handled very professionally.

My issue was with a cemetery that broke the outer granite piece that fronts the tomb of my deceased mother. The cemetery installed a concrete replacement and put lettering of my mothers name and dates. Some of the letter were not centered in the holder and did not look very professional. I attempted to resolve this issues with the cemetery many times and after 10 months of runaround, I was about to give up when I had the idea of contacting the Better Business Bureau. To be honest, I did not think that BBB would be able to help with my issue but I was proven wrong. BBB forwarded correspondence to the cemetery in a very timely manner and 24 hours later I got a call from the cemetery stating our issues have been resolved. I was able to verify the work was complete and can not say enough good things about BBB, not only that the problem was resolved but the speed at which it all happened. Hats off to an organization that I suspect many of us forget can assist when their is an issue with a b

I cannot say enough praise for BBB. This is the most helpful, efficient and customer centric organization there is for the situation when you have a dispute with a business that you are not able to resolve on your own. In the past 5-6 years I asked BBB to interfere maybe 3 or 4 times. Every single time I tried to resolve an issue on my own only to hear back from the business that they cannot do anything to help me for such and such reason. Then I would file a complaint with BBB and it's like a magic trick! In a week that business in question would all of a sudden offer your money back, business credit, much more favorable rates for their future services, etc. It's simply incredible how BBB is able to achieve these results in such a short time. Thank you to everyone at BBB for your help and incredible results you are able to produce. You have saved me personally a lot of money and a lot of frustration when dealing with some less than responsible businesses!

I have been a customer of Kmart for several years. Back in August, I made an online purchase from them. On delivery, I discovered the item was not satisfactory. I wrote a letter to Kmart expressing my dissatisfaction and asked for a reimbursement for charges incurred to return the order. They surprised me when they denied my request. After about 2 months and several emails back and forth, I filed a complaint with the BBB. In just two days, Kmart agreed to reimburse me for the shipping charges. I do not think I could have gotten that type of response without the help of the BBB. I am very grateful for the time and effort the BBB put into my case.

I was having an issue with Sears, Roebuck, and Co. that had been going on for almost two years. The problem was with a severe safety recall on an air compressor I had purchased from Sears earlier. Sears sent me the recall notice but REFUSED to send the necessary repair kit (as they themselves had outlined in the recall notice)... this was quite troubling as the recall notice from Sears specified to IMMEDIATELY unplug and stop using the compressor because of a fire hazard. After making 10 frustrating phone calls over the course of almost two years, it was clear that Sears had no intentions of honoring the recall notice. My wife suggested I contact the BBB. I did and the BBB quickly intervened and I had the repair kit in hand in less than three weeks. BBB gets an A+ whereas Sears fails miserably. I sincerely appreciate the help of the BBB in getting Sears' attention in this matter. It is unfortunate that Sears, an organization that was once much respected, has fallen to this level!!!

In a world of constant Corporate 'bullying' the BBB provides a way for the 'rest' of us to fight back and let our voices be heard in a professional, efficient and fair manner. The big corporations take big pride in showing the 'BBB Registered' sticker on their front door; we need to make sure they have earned it.

The BBB was solely responsible for solving my problem with a business (Sears). Before BBB helped to solve my problem, Sears was unwilling to even listen to me. Once BBB intervened, everything changed and within 2 weeks, my case was closed and I was satisfied. If a business is bullying you and you know you are right, do not hesitate to get the BBB involved. They are as top notch as it gets. Thanks again for such professional service when no one else was willing to help me.

Had an issue with Sears Home Services. Called Sears for assistance and was promised a return call from Management for many, many weeks. We had damaged soffitt that Sears installed years ago, and was afraid squirrels and rodents would enter my home. It was only after I contacted the BBB did someone return my call. Even though Sears still didn't make the repairs as I expected they would not as they tried to find ways to take no responsibility, I did get someone off their rear to finally call.

I had trouble with a electrical switch on my snapper snow blower I got it at Sears in apeton wi. It was still under mfg 2 year warranty Sears said they would fix it under the warranty after 2 months of waiting for it to get done they said it could not be fix and it was destoried and that they would give me a in store credit Sears does not sell snapper any more I did not want a craftsmen they even up the amount of money for the in store credit the BBB came in and in no time at all they got me my money plus the extra money it will cost for to replace my snapper snow blower from a local dealer thank you BBB this was every easy to get done the BBB was there all the way through

The BBB does get results!! Particularly when long established, American businesses no longer feel obligated to meet their ethical, and legal contracts, (by their definition). In this case Sears with Kenmore/Craftsman name brand products. As a fifty plus year, really depending on an American company their apathy was a shock and a quandary. The BBB certainly got their attention and resolved the issue in a matter of a day- as opposed to six weeks of "pass the buck forward" phone calls and e-mails. Last resort produces final results!

I have had two separate occasions where business have not honored their agreement, but all too ready to collect the money owed on their end. When I wasn't able to reason with these businesses, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They awarded me with immediate positive results, in a fair and just manner . If anyone is having issues with a company, filing a complaint with the BBB is well worth your time and effort.

I turned to the BBB because the professional mover I had hired did not return my calls pertaining to a move complaint. The BBB started the complaint process, followed up with me and the professional mover, and helped me to achieve a resolution. I was very pleased with the BBB and would seek their assistance again, should I need it.

I have turned to BBB at least twice to help me resolve an issue. They respond quickly and keep me updated as to the action that they are taking. Also, they keep at it until I am satisfied the the issue has been resolved. I would not hesitate to call upon BBB again when I need to have help.

BBB is a results oriented organization: i was given a hard time sending out BBQ parts under warranty. after 3 short-comings i ended up contacting BBB. Guess what? within hrs everything was resolve objectively and quietly. BBB can look to the eyes of the "bullies" and neutralize situations. Pass it on....

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH BBB THE WAY THEY HANDLED MY COMPLAINTS. THEY DO AN OUTSTANDIG JOB AND FAST SERVICE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO EVERYBODY, WHO HAVE PROBLEMS. LET BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU BE THE ONES YOU TURN TO FOR HELP. I AM SURE YOU WILL HAVE GOOD RESULTS. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THEM.

I had a dispute with our cell phone carrier, that I was unable to resolve, which involved them charging me over $300 in error. Finally I filed a BBB complaint, and because of this complaint, finally the company cleared the matter up. I had spent hours talking to these people, and was repeatedly told they couldn't do anything to help me. When the BBB complaint was sent to them, they immediately took action. My recommendation to anyone who has an issue with a business that they have not been able to resolve is to get the BBB involved. I have used them numerous times, and each time was able to reach a resolution. For some reason, when a business has a bad BBB rating, it matters to them, and they generally will change their tune from uncooperative to cooperative and willing to work the issue out.

I've sought assistance from the BBB in two separate incidents. Both situations were resolved in my favor very quickly. I do not believe the outcome in either would have been accomplished as quickly, and possibly with a less favorable results, if not for the assistance of the BBB. No reputable business, and even lesser business, wants to have their name posted under the BBB with a negative tag. My first experience was resolved by the manufacturer pressuring the distributor. The second was the distributor resolving a manufacturer issue. The BBB is a very powerful ally to resolve consumer issues.

i had worked with a roofing company that installed a 50 year roof they sent numerous contractors to repair leaks caused by the installation it took my contacting the bbb before they assumed responsibility for needed repairs. many thanks to the bbb for forcing the company to take responsibility
