I have used the BBB twice and both times have been completely satisfied. If you have a complaint or need information about a business - please contact BBB. Also, do not join gyms or purchase from places you are not familiar until you check them out on BBB. I will use them again; thank you BBB for all you do to help others.

An airfare ticket broker did not alert me that my international return flight had been canceled, which created havoc with my schedule. Finally back home, I found no contact information of that firm on the Internet or in any of my records to launch a complaint. I then contacted BBB and got the broker's immediate attention. They settled with me to my complete satisfaction. Without BBB I would have given up on even trying to reach a monetary compensation for the inconvenience I had experienced due to the ticket broker's negligence. The process of filing a complaint through BBB was simple, objective, and efficient. This was my first consumer complaint through BBB, and I appreciate their fair service to consumers.

I contacted the BBB for help in obtaining a refund from an on-line travel site that failed in their duty to act as a liaison between airlines in communicating flight changes. My family arrived for the third leg of a long journey to find we did not have a flight to our destination. We were forced to pay the difference for another flight, and for a hotel. While the travel site admitted it was their responsibility to communicate changes, they would offer only a $50 credit toward a future booking. Unwilling to give in, I filed a claim with the BBB, not really expecting a response or any resolution. The very next day I received a response from the travel site asking for the receipts. The day after I received the refund amount requested credited back to my payment card. I was completely astounded. The BBB on-line claim process is very user friendly - I was very satisfied with the arbitration service and I highly recommend the BBB in resolving disputes between consumers and business.

I contracted through Orbitz for limousine pickup at the Bangkok airport because our arrival time was 12:15 am and I didn't want to mess with getting a taxi at that early hour. The service was to be provided by Carmel Limo. Carmel did not show up and after searching the entire airport for an hour I finally engaged the airport's limo service. I spent a month trying to get Orbitz to reimburse the $51 I had paid in advance for the service, all to no avail. Orbitz customer relations people were friendly and promised to help but they never really did. I spent hours waiting for my calls to be answered and more hours waiting for customer service to take me off hold while they checked on the situation. Finally, I contacted the Chicago Better Business Bureau for help. Within two days Orbitz refunded my entire $51 with absolutely no hassle.

Great company. It is good to know that consumers and buisness owners have someone like BBB there to assist in disagreements - to come to a resolution that would benefit both parties involved. They have assisted me on different issuies and the results were great. Keep up the great job.

Hello everyone!! My name is ...Lynn, for the past twenty years I've have been using better Business Bureau for disputes. I must say over the years BBB have improved in many ways .I think the biggest improvement is how companies respond when a complaint has been directed towards them. In the past three years I've had to call on BBB at least one or two times a month to correct , everything from "shady business contracts to being over charged on a monthly basis from well established home service business. My best advice to anyone , please use this free service , one thing I can say is BBB is a adds to American pride and honor I doubt if you can get such service any place else in the world.

I was dealing with a credit card company that had made a mistake. They would not admit that they had messed up and would not allow me to talk with supervisors to get the issue resolved. I have dealt with them for about 3 years and now that my account was almost paid off they became impossible to deal with. I just wanted what was wrong fixed and nothing more. I contacted to BBB and the issue was resolved quickly and they were instrumental in getting my issue resolved. If it was not for the BBB, I would have probably not been able to resolve my situation.

We are in a small solo orthopaedic practice in upstate New York and had an issue with a company we deal with in Illinois.. the BBB of Chicago was quick and awesome in handling our complaint with the company...the BBB immediately got started and had an answer from the company the same day i posted my complaint..the issue, in our favor, was totally resolved within a couple of days..the company was extremely difficult to deal with before the BBB stepped in..the company was arrogant, aggressive and unreasonable before the BBB interaction...i cannot thank the Bureau enough for the positive solution that ensued after their input..i recommend anyone with an issue with a company that believes or acts as though they are above reasonable fair business practice to call or e-submit the issue to the BBB, you will not be sorry you did so, ...hbp port jervis, new york

ive always utilized the services of the BBB when business have been less then responsive in helping me or darn righ disrespectful thinking ill just go away and customers have no power. This is probably the 8th dispute ive filled with a business using the BBB and they always leave me with answers promply and a solution. My last dispute was a overcharge issue on my snap card at jewel. I noticed it imediately and brought it to there cso attention at that store. She stated the refund they had processed due to sales asoc error possibly will take upo to 72 hrs before it posts. I can contact jewlel osco corp office a said number in the mean time but it should resolve itself with in the elated time. If not she is always there and could address the issue and issue the refund if warranted. i waitted the time frame no refund, returned to the cso showed her my documantation. I nfind out she had no real power and still had to contact corp. IN THE end had to contact corp twice.

BBB does exceptional advocacy in resolving business complaints. We were trying to resolve a billing issue with a company for about three months. Once BBB was involved, the issue was resolved within a few days in a professional manner.

I'd recommend the BBB as the best source to help solve business complaint issues. I had a problem with a company where they would not provide me with a refund on an outlay that I had made to get my car towed. My contract with them said they would reimburse me and they did nothing to resolve my issue over a two month period. I phone, sent e-mails, faxed and this company ignored me. When I got the BBB involved, my issue with this company was resolved within a week. They were an enormous help and I support their efforts. THANKS BBB.

I had a problem with a company I had bought something from, they would not return my phone calls or reply to emails. The day after I filed a complaint with BBB the company called and rectified the problem. Using BBB is very, very effective!

BBB was instrumental in obtaining satisfaction from FTD .com. My attempts to contact the company directly were unsuccessful and no return calls or email correspondence from FTD .com were made. I reached a customer service rep once who took my number and promised a call back that never came. After I filed my complaint via the web to BBB, was contacted within 24 hours and fully refunded for services paid for but not provided. I was even offered free gifts which I did not accept. I wish no future dealings with FTD .com. Thanks BBB! Filing was super easy, and you really made a difference!

I had been trying for a month to get in touch with a company but they would not return any of my calls about a defective product. I contacted the BBB and they company emailed me within days. I couldn't have done it without their help!

I recommend filing your complaints with the BBB. I had an ongoing issue with US Cellular for the past 9 months and their Representative seemed to refuse to help get the problem straightened out. I filed a complaint with the BBB and one day later was contacted by someone that from US Cellular that specializes in these complaints. She was eager to get to the bottom of the problem. Found discrepancies in my bill which I was telling them all along but they refused to listen. I find it sad that it took me filing a complaint with the BBB to get someone to even consider resolving the problem. Definitely recommend the BBB if you want a quick turn around for getting your issue resolved in an etiquette and quick manner.

I had a very difficult time with two companys at once. My main complaint stemmed from a company that services appliances for the manufacture. In my case it was a dryer. The repair company diagnosed what I needed to make the repair. They required me to pre-pay for the part and the total service charges. The total amount was $354.58. What happened after was a nightmare of missed appointments, cover ups of false statements and a refusal to give me back any part of my prepaid fee. I wound up learning how to repair the dryer myself. This was three weeks after I contracted to have them do it. The appliance manufacture also refused to get involved. My wife suggested that we ask the Better Business Bureau for help. What happened after that was amazing. Within three days we were contacted by both companies representatives. They agreed to give me a total refund, part and all. I could not have had these results without The Better Business Bureau. Thank you!

I used BB for the first time ever on my new health insurance provider. As soon as I told the provider I was filing the report, I got action within an hour. Prior to filing the report, I had tried six times over two days with constant delays/push back from the new provider to reimburse me timely for my out of pocket expense.

This BBB saved my sanity. Was having trouble with a bill collector who had the wrong person-me-they were trying to collect a bill from a person with a name similar to mine. Could not convince them of this. BBB had my problem taken care of within a few days, and an apology from the offender.
