Overall a great experience. I have always hated going to dental appointments with other offices. Dr. Nguyen is professional, caring, doesn't lecture and sensitive to those of us with dental phobias. She does a thorough job and gives me advantages and disadvantages on alternatives for the dental procedures. My teeth and gums are doing much better under her care. The entire staff are friendly and caring, plus Julie in the front office is great.

Dr. Laura and everyone in the office is great, really attentive and I always feel taken care of when I come in and they always check in on me when I have had a work done which is always nice.

I had a great experience at this dentist. They partnered with delta dental and made sure my appointment was covered by my insurance. The dentist and assistant were friendly and happy to answer any questions I had. They also made sure I was comfortable at all times.

Dr. Nguyen is took her time and answered all of my questions. She explained very thoroughly so that I understood what was going on.

Setting up an appointment is simple and the staff is helpful and nice. After only a few minutes of waiting, I was seen. I've been seeing Dr. Nguyen for years and can't imagine seeing anyone else.

We have been coming here for almost three years with our three young boys and we love it. They are professional, friendly and we feel confident they are looking after our best interests. And they make the boys feel very at home - our middle boy fell asleep in the chair once mid-cleaning!

Our family has been receiving dental care from Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Huynh for over 8 years. They have done a great job with all of the procedures that we have had over the years. The doctors and all staff members are very kind and caring, especially with our autistic sons. They are always accommodating with our special needs. We highly recommend this dental office to anyone who is looking for good and compassionate dental care.

The doctors at West Portal Family Dentistry always take the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. They are sensitive to my fear of needles, and have always done their utmost to make me feel comfortable during every procedure. Moreover, they are quick and efficient with cleanings, which is a huge plus for me!

The people here are very friendly. The facility provides a clean, bright and inviting atmosphere. The dental experience itself is nearly pain free. Dr. Nguyen explains step by step the procedures before actually performing them. However, if you don't want to know what is about to happen I am sure she would honor your wishes. :)

I used to hate going to the dentist - I always felt dentists were more painful than necessary. And I always kind of believed that they were lying to me about cavities. And then I started coming here. The whole staff takes time to get to know you on a personal level and customize your experience accordingly. They know I hate shots, so they not only take measures to make sure the injection spot/s are extra numb, but they also take steps to further distract me from the pain. They show me every cavity on the x-ray and even worked my appointments around my school schedule when I was in college. And they know that I probably will NOT give up my coffee so they suggested ways for me to enjoy my coffee while still protecting my teeth. Even though it takes us a while to get here (we don't live in SF), it's worth the drive, every time.

I was very nervous to repair front teeth but the entire staff made me feel at ease. They explained the steps and were considerate. Plus my crowns look awesome!

I have been a patient for over 15 years and have always been very happy with the doctors and staff, they go out of there way to make you comfortable and feel great. I would never go to any other dental office, I will be a lifetime patient! I highly recommend this office.

I always have a good experience coming to see Dr. Nguyen! Julie is always warm, happy and inviting and the other ladies are very kind. Dr.Nguyen really explains everything so you know what's going on with your teeth. It's a comfortable environment and I love coming here, have been for years and still plan on coming for years to come!

Dr. Nguyen and the whole staff was excellent. I was new to the area and used to find somewhere that my insurance was accepted and close to home. I came in for my cleaning and it was so great to see pictures of my teeth and where the problem areas were. And then they showed me exactly what I could do to fix the problems. I also had to come in for a few fillings. Pain free and I felt comfortable the whole time. Julie is also awesome! Gets back super quickly for appointment questions and a great lady to talk to.

I've been coming to Dr. Nguyen for years and wouldn't go anywhere else.
