Extra Space commits outrageous and frequent rate hikes after you've used your time and immense effort to move your possessions into their facilities. They require fingerprinting and a contract to get the reasonable leader prices that they advertise to con you into giving them your business. There's no mention of what they do with your fingerprints, Social Security number, driver's license, bank account number, etc.., even after you're not a customer anymore. And I doubt if their employees have security clearances, or if all that personal information is guarded very well. Banks don't even ask for that much personal data to get a credit card.



I got conned by a great intro price and learned the hard way about Extra Space. There are many decent storage companies out there that are grateful for your business and don't gouge their long-time customers. Don't be fooled by the great locked in price that Extra Space offers you to get you to sign a year's contract. They know that most people who will sign a year's contract don't move out as fast as they think they will, and that's when Extra Space quickly, regularly and obscenely raises it's rates. Very soon you'll see that you are paying double what you signed up for, and will probably be considering just walking away from your possessions, like so many people. I suspect not being able to pay the fee, puts a hit on your credit and requires a court ordered auction. All bad.



**** Please.. Save yourself the grief!! Turn your head when you pass an Extra Space facility!!! Don't even look. If necessary wear garlic around you neck, or they might get you... and suck you dry!!! :-(

This recently upgraded storage facility is best, bar none. The location near the corner of Hog Neck Road and Ft. Smallwood Road is great for those who live up and down the 173 corridor. The new office is airy and attractive. Lots more retail space for storage supplies like boxes, tape, shrink wrap, locks, etc. The manager was welcoming, knowledgeable and had a professional demeanor. I will definitely use this facility again should I need EXTRA SPACE!

This facility is very clean and very customer friendly. The office has been redone and looks fantastic, also very clean and big. The employees are very sociable and friendly. Monthly rent is cheaper than Public Storage and I would recommend Extra Space Storage to all my friends who are looking for a storage unit.
