Dr. Philip Perlman is a 1983 graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed his Otolaryngology training at Albany Medical Center in 1988. Dr. Perlman is well trained in all aspects of the field, including pediatric and adult ENT, head and neck surgery and in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. He has been practicing in Manhasset, NY since 1989. Dr. Perlman currently treats adult and pediatric patients medically and surgically in all aspects of ear, nose and throat disorders. Dr. Perlman is widely published and has made presentations on many aspects of Otolaryngology, including swallowing disorders and facial cosmetic techniques. Dr. Perlman has been the Director of Otolaryngology at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY since 2003. He is also named in Castle Connolly' Top Doctors for the past 15 years.

For starters, our daughter has a terrible fear of doctors. However Dr.Perlman was one doctor our little 7 year old has taken a liking to! From our first visit he was very much on her level and compassionate to her fears and anxiety. When he suggested Tonsil surgery, he was confident that once her tonsils were removed, her track of illnesses would soon subside. And they did!
Dr.Perlman explained the entire procedure to us, was there to answer any and all questions, and he made Alessandra feel comfortable enough to be brave and have her very first surgery. She definitely needed her tonsils and adenoids removed because of how infected they were, and thank goodness Dr.Perlman helped us on this decision to just do it. She no longer suffers with pain like she did every morning and she is a totally different kid! Our little girl adores Dr.Perlman and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out. Thank you!
I have been to many ENT's in the past. But I have never been so impressed with any doctor as I have been with Dr. Perlman. I have had a swallowing issue for years. He listened, he asked questions and even went online while I was there to examine an older LIJ X-ray of my cervical spine to help better understand my issue. Dr. Perlman is focusing in on the root cause of my issue and has scheduled me for a procedure in order to take it to the next level. No other ENT has ever been this thorough in trying to get to the root cause of my problem. He is the only ENT that anesthetizes your nostrils before inserting the camera. I barley felt it. In my 60+ years I have never had an ENT offer me that option. I very highly recommend Dr. Perlman and truly believe that there is no other ENT that even comes close.
Dr Perlman was great with my son. He listened and reassured me everything was okay and told me to come back or call with any questions or concerns.
The one lady at the front desk who I dealt with was less than pleasant and I had to wait a while to be seen, other than that I was very pleased with our visit.
