- Oil ChangeAn oil change is like a transfusion of new life into your vehicle. Over time, oil can lose some of its chemical properties that are designed to reduce corrosion and increase the lubrication in your engine. In some environments, dust and dirt can also find their way into your crankcase, so a regular change of your oil and filter are paramount to the long service life of your car or truck.

- Emissions InspectionSeveral states now require regular (annual or biannual) emission tests. These tests have different names; the most common are inspection/maintenance (I/M), SMOG, or OBD-II emission testing. The tests may involve visual inspection of certain emission-control systems, measuring tailpipe emissions at specified engine speeds or as the vehicle runs on a dynamometer, or verifying the proper operation of the emission system on 1996 and newer vehicles with a scan tool. A poorly maintained emission system can cause the vehicle to fail these tests, diminish gas mileage and more.

- Fuel Injection Service/RepairFirst, there are many electrical components needed to start successfully. A well-charged battery is necessary to turn the starter. The battery will also provide voltage to the ignition coil(s), as well as provide power to the fuel pump and fuel injection system. Spark plugs need to be clean and have a proper “gap” to allow the fuel in the cylinder to ignite.
- Transmission ServiceWhether it’s every 30,000 miles, 48,000 miles or 100,000 miles, Rick's Automotive Inc. will follow your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended transmission service interval.
- Transmission RepairEvery day, your transmission works hard to keep you and your car on the go. The fluid that lubricates all of the transmission’s moving parts works just as hard as the transmission and should be changed as recommended. Over time, that fluid may get contaminated or lose the ability to keep your transmission performing at its peak. Your vehicle’s manufacturer is aware of this fact. So, they recommend getting your transmission flushed and a transmission fluid changed at specified maintenance intervals. This keeps your car running newer, longer.

- Axle RepairAxles transmit the power of your engine to the drive wheels. They are usually set into the transaxle on a front-wheel drive vehicle, or into a differential if the vehicle is rear wheel drive. Modern all-wheel drive vehicles will typically use both.

- Tire RotationBrake pads and rotors take a massive amount of abuse, as they are the main component that turns the rotational energy into heat. This means that these parts are designed to wear out over time, so it’s important to inspect your brakes regularly...usually at every tire rotation or anytime the wheels of your vehicle are removed.
- Wheel AlignmentMost cars today require 4-wheel alignment, which can best be achieved by our Hunter Hawk Eye laser alignment rack. It’s important to have your wheels aligned whenever you have new tires installed, as they will move your wheels “out-of-spec” just by being new! Potholes, speedbumps, dirt roads or even snow berms can tweak your wheels out of alignment, so whenever you’ve put your vehicle through a few uncomfortable bumps or bounces, you’ll want to make sure your alignment is still within specification.
- Tire ServiceTo track properly down the road, your wheels and tires must be pointing in the same direction. This is called alignment. To be able to turn, and move properly over bumps and dips in the road, the wheels and tires work with the suspension, and have certain angles and measurements “built in” by the manufacturer for best handling and overall driving comfort. If your wheels are not set to these precise measurements, excessive tire wear and poor handling will result.
