Carolina Surgery provides advanced surgical care services. The center s physicians have received specialized training in areas of general, vascular and thoracic surgery. Its surgeons are specialists in cardiac pacemaker implantation, carotid artery surgery, peripheral vascular surgery and testing, revascularization of arteries and veins, surgical correction of aortic aneurysm, lung cancer surgery and thoracoscopy sclerotherapy of varicose veins. The center s vascular laboratory includes modern equipment for diagnosing carotid artery disease and problems with hardening of the arteries in the legs and varicose veins. The center participates in various insurance plans, including TriCare, Unicare, United Healthcare, Private Heathcare Systems, Definity Health, Humana, Private Healthcare Systems and United Medical Resources. Carolina Surgery is open from Monday through Friday, and is located in Gastonia, N.C. It provides emergency surgical services 24-hour a day.
