Usually I don't give a negative rating on an organization, but my dealings with Leslie's Pool Supply was nothing short of terrible. Recently, when looking to purchase a new variable speed pump I had gone into the Yuba City store a couple times to discuss the purchase. On one of my first visits I asked the store manger whether he needed to come look at the site prior to the installation should I buy the pump. I was told there was no need to do so. So after another couple visits I purchased the pump. I also paid for the installation which cost me $100.00 plus parts. When the installer came to my house he said he could not install the pump since it did not fit the current pump pad. He called the store and said I had to talk with the manager. As instructed I went back to the store and he told me it was going to cost me 3 more hours of labor plus parts to install the new pump. I reiterated that I'd specifically asked him to look at my current pump pad but he still said it would take 3 hours plus parts. I was not happy about the increase but offered to split the additional cost with the store. The manager still would not negotiate. I then told him I was going to put a review out on the website and thats when he became very upset and from that point nothing was going to be resolved. I told him we had purchased the pump in good faith and I felt he was penalizing me because he did not check out the site before selling the pump. Needless to say the conversation went downhill and we had words. I told him I had a bill of sale for the purchase and he was obligated to install the pump. After I refused to take a credit on the purchase he then threatened to call the police as I told him what he could kiss. So immediately he had Leslie's Pools corporate office send me a check for the purchase. I called Leslie's Pool Corporate and was told the Regional Manger would contact me. Over a week and no call. If you want customer service after a mistake they made, forget it! Don't go here.
