      Established in 1854, Barrett Paving Materials, a division of Barrett Industries Corporation, is an integrated road construction and manufacturing company involved in the manufacture of road construction materials and the construction and paving of roads throughout seven states. The company manufactures bituminous concrete, ready mix concrete, liquid asphalt and a number of emulsion products. Barrett utilizes advanced computer systems to monitor the mix and dispersion of its paving materials. The company also operates stone quarries, sand and gravel mines, several terminal facilities and a number of hot-mix asphalt plants. The company s paving materials are used in the paving and construction of interstate highways, airport runways, race tracks, parking lots roads, bicycle paths, subdivisions and driveways, as well as a wide range of state, county and municipal paving projects. Barrett Paving Materials is headquartered in Ypsilanti, Mich., and has operations throughout the Midwest.
