      Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities offers a variety of educational, adult, employment, retirement and community support programs. The organization provides educational and extracurricular services to school-age children with mental retardation and developmental disabilities through Leonard Kirtz School, which is a chartered public school. Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities also provides a range of rehabilitative and vocational services for adults. It offers sheltered workshops to adults with special needs through a contract with MASCO, a nonprofit agency. Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities additionally provides transportation services between schools and workshops.
