My husband’s parents had our groom’s supper here at the Dayton House. I have to say the Dayton House is so gorgeous. It has the vintage, antique feel but is so rich and beautiful. The supper was a past bar that was catered by Hy-Vee. The Dayton House’s dining room was the perfect set up for a buffet type dinner. The lady that runs the Dayton House was very gracious and poured everyone coffee. My mother-in-law asked them to decorate with a fall-theme to accommodate our wedding which they did by hanging two beautiful orange wreaths on the door. My mother and I actually spent the night at the Dayton House that night in the Smallwood Suite. It was so gorgeous! The lady told us to use the whole entire house except for her office. We were able to use the sitting room, dining room, our suite, and the conference room. Our suite had a living area with a TV, free WIFI, a couch with a pull out bed, and our own bathroom. It was nice that only we stayed there; we had the whole Dayton House to ourselves. The bed was comfortable, they left cookies for us, had candy setting out, and muffins and juice for breakfast. Staying at the Dayton House made the day before my wedding so incredibly special.
