We train Heavy Equipment Operators, Crane Operators and Truck Drivers. Our graduates are qualified to work in residential & commercial construction, road & bridge construction, mining & quarry operations, manufacture & shipping operations where this kind of equipment is in use, anywhere in the country and abroad. Our courses are taught by industry experienced and certified craft instructors and represent the very best curriculum available. Opportunity We take student success seriously. Getting skills and putting them to work are the goals of every student. We make a commitment to help the graduate make this happen. The U.S. Department of Labor projects above-average growth in Heavy Construction. Current estimates call for a 23% increase in employment this decade. With the current rising economy, the number and variety of positions you may qualify for are many. It is estimated by the Federal Government that there is $2,000,000,000 worth of infrastructure, (roads, bridges, pipelines, dams, etc.) projects that need immediate attention throughout the country. This represents great opportunity for those with the skills and necessary certifications. Our goal is to help you go from the classroom to the job site. We’ll support your employment search in a variety of ways. We’ll help you prepare a professional resume, develop your ability to interview effectively and guide you in identifying the employment opportunities most suited to your goals and skills. As a West Coast Training graduate, this service is available to you whenever you need it. Preparation You need the best training and best recognized credentials you can have as you enter the workforce. We provide training that prepares each student to test and qualify for certification in the operation of heavy equipment. Using NCCER (The National Center for Construction Education and Research), curriculum, we offer instruction in Heavy Equipment Operation for Excavators, Dozers, Backhoes, Loaders, Scrapers, Graders and Compactors. We train our students to meet or exceed the requirements of the NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) for all primary types of Mobiles Cranes including: Hydraulic Swing & Fixed Cab Cranes, Lattice Truck and Crawler Mounted Cranes. These courses also include OSHA Qualification in Rigging and Signaling. Our Commercial Driver's Training will not only prepare you for over-the- road and local trucking jobs, it will give you the training and experience you'll need to be able to transport Heavy Equipment and Cranes to and from the job site. Many graduates credit their CDL course as that extra credential that enabled them to secure their Crane or Heavy Equipment job. Many jobs require the presence of an OSHA certified hazardous materials person on site. You will find it valuable to take OSHA’s HAZWOPER 120, hazardous materials handling course. It will help round out your training and enhance employment opportunities. For complete details, contact our Admissions Department toll-free at 1-800-755-5477 or click on "Request More Info".
