I have to agree with the below comment. My experience with Sattler & Company was extremely disappointing and rather frustrating (to say the least). My returns did not get filed on time or properly and I ended up being penalized a ridiculous amount by the State! Their lack of intentions for their clients is clearly expressed through very delayed responses (i.e. direct messages with the secretary, emails, and voicemails). My overall experience was nothing more than a severely painful headache.

I sent Mr. Sattler my tax return information giving him plenty of time to prepare it prior to the April 15 deadline. Mr. Sattler decided to wait until April 15 to prepare my return despite my multiple requests and reminders. He realized he needed additional information and did not file my return until early May. It's July 31st and I still have not received my Federal refund or my NY State refund. I tried to check online and my return is nowhere to be found. I've reached out to Mr. Sattler but haven't received any response from him.



I'm wondering if I'll have to end up hiring another accountant to figure out if my returns were filed at all and to review and make sure they were filed correctly. I regret hiring Mr. Sattler as my accountant and recommend you find someone who at least is willing to answer your e-mails or phone calls and file your returns on time!
