With a history that dates back over 3,000 years, oriental medicine is a holistic approach to healing and health maintenance. Multiple techniques can be used to activate and balance the body's vital energy which the ancients called Qi (pronounced chee). This energy circulates through the body via an intricate network of pathways known as meridians. These techniques can include: acupuncture, chinese herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, tui na, qi gong, and nutrition. The art and practice of oriental medicine is to harmonize and balance the circulation of Qi so that the individual can heal more effectively. Healing can occur on four levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. With training in Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as 5 Element, my practice can address any one or more of these levels depending on the individual's health need.
