Dr. Richard Gutsin is a board certified physician specializing in Family Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practitioners, American Board of Family Medicine and the New Hanover/Pender County Medical Society. He is happy to serve as a current Board Member of the Coastal Physicians Alliance. Dr. Gutsin has been practicing in Wilmington since 1995. His thoughtful, friendly and caring demeanor creates an open and encouraging physician-patient relationship. Only 60% of family physicians are board certified. As a board-certified physician, Dr. Gutsin believes in continual learning and commits to a minimum of 50 credits every year to stay current on the newest treatment options and medications available. We congratulate Dr. Gutsin on passing the Boards in 2015! It is a 10 year renewal process which sometimes requires Dr. Gutsin to attend CME conferences and learning opportunities. Dr. Gutsin was recertified in Family Medicine and continues his education to stay on top of new treatments and options for his patients.
