After calling three different plumbers with prices ranging from $850 to $950 to replace our leaking 50 gal water heater, I chose David Lies, despite a middle of the range price, because they could get our replacement done the next morning. They were scheduled to come at 8:00 AM, but it was about 8:45 before he arrived. I did not reduce their rating for this since it is unreasonable to expect people doing repairs to forecast what troubles they may run into. I was called as soon as he was finished and heading my way. Although our plumber had only worked for David Lies for 2 years, he had many years of experience, was professional, very skilled (clean and efficient soldering), and thorough. Despite discovering a leak in our water manifold, he was able to complete the job in less time than estimated which resulted in a completed installation cost of $853 (almost as low as the lowest estimate). Although their hourly rate has increased since the last review over 3 years ago, it is still a good value due to their quality and efficiency.

I called a big name local plumber, and got an estimate for over $950 to replace a damaged shower valve. After restarting my heart, I sent them on their way and called David Lies Plumbing! They responded within 90 minutes with a friendly, qualified plumber with loads of experience. He did the job quickly and expertly and charged my $155.00! They charge by the hour, $75/hr. Very fair!
