- Dental ExaminationWhether you have an immediate need for a cleaning and examination, extensive dental treatment, an emergency, or even braces, we've got you covered! More and more research is showing that health problems are linked to mouth problems. We care deeply about your oral health, along with your overall health.
- X-rays
- Oral Cancer ScreeningOur Hygienists are gentle and make every effort to make your visit easy, pleasant, and affordable. We routinely perform thorough oral cancer screenings using "Identafi" technology (a special oral cancer screening light) at no additional cost. You'll receive tips and take-home tools to help you achieve your best oral health possible.
- Teeth Cleaning
- Fluoride TreatmentDental hygienists do much more than just clean teeth. Hygienists perform oral cancer screenings, take and develop x-rays, counsel patients on nutrition and oral hygiene, place dental sealants, give fluoride treatments, and use many methods to remove plaque, tartar, and stain from the teeth, among other procedures and supporting duties throughout the dental office. They also educate patients on various diseases and conditions. Hygienists help treat patients at various stages of periodontal (gum) disease with hopes to prevent issues and maintain or improve the health of the teeth, gums, and surrounding tissues.
- Dental SealantsWe offer many preventive services such as dental sealants (a coating of the chewing surface of a tooth to prevent decay), fluoride treatments, and sports mouthguards. Ask your hygienist about tooth whitening options as well!
- Fillings
- CrownsTraditionally, dental crowns required two visits, one to re-shape the existing tooth to accept the crown and another to cement the crown (which was fabricated in a lab), requiring a temporary crown in between. With the use of CAD/CAM technology, our E4D crowns are made by scanning an image of your mouth and fabricating (milling) the crown right in our office to be placed the very same day! Of course, lab crowns are still available as well. Often this decision is made based on the best material for you.
- BridgesWhen you're missing a tooth, a fixed bridge is almost like getting the tooth back. Bridges can be supported by natural teeth or implants. A bridge is really just crowns connected by a false tooth (or pontic) to create a permanent replacement for what was once a space.
- Root Canal TreatmentEndodontic treatment, also known as "root canals" are rather heroic! Most teeth that cause pain can be saved with this technique.
- Deep CleaningWith periodontitis, it is often necessary to return for deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) to thoroughly remove the tartar, usually with numbing agents, in 2-4 visits. An assessment of the gums (measuring or "probing") is done to compare the health of the gums at future visits. Detailed instructions are given on how to care for your gums and teeth to help stop the progression of the disease. In our office, we utilize low level laser therapy to reduce bacteria levels in the pockets as well. Some of our patients are referred to a specialist, a Periodontist, for gum surgery or further treatment. Once the disease is under control, you'll return for frequent "periodontal maintenance" cleanings- usually every 3-4 months, or alternating with the Periodontist in some cases.
- DenturesRemovable teeth are one of the staples of dentistry. Yes, they are a prosthetic device (a contraption in your mouth) and require a lot of "getting used to," but for some, they can be a life-changing tooth replacement option. Partial and complete dentures cost a fraction of what fixed technology requires. In addition, fabrication is as simple as an impression and a few try-in stages to ensure the work is going as planned.
- Dental ImplantsOnce a tooth is extracted, a dental implant can be used to replace it. An implant is a false tooth root. Dentists have been placing implants since the 1960's. It has only been since about 1990 that they have become predictable in process, healing and function.
- Oral SurgeryThough dental technology has come a long way in saving teeth, the time comes when a tooth needs extraction. We do some extractions right in house. In other cases, we may refer our patients to a specialist (an Oral Surgeon). We work closely with many Oral Surgeons in the area.

- General DentistryOur doctors oversee each student in the office, performing all aspects of clinical general dentistry. Externs are senior dental students completing their studies in the field prior to graduation. Students arrive for rotations, which we began here in June 2016, with the first official class of dentists to graduate from UNE. The dental student externs are proving to be a delight for the doctors, staff, and our patients!
