General Info

I am Command Sergeant Major, Les Hayes, US Army (Ret) and a certified NRA instructor. With my 24 years of military experience and over 35 years of firearm training, I am well qualified, and will teach all classes. Each class will last about eight hours depending on questions and the student's level of firearm knowledge. Classes can be scheduled on week days, weekends or can be split into 2 four hour sessions conducted during the day or in the evening. Arrangements can also be made for me to come to your location. The cost for the class is $150.00 per student. Private classes are available at a cost of $250.00 for one person or $400.00 for two. We will be using The Silver Bullet Shooting Range at 5901 W. 38th Avenue, for our range qualification. This is located four buildings to the west of the classroom.

Basic Firearms Instruction, Pistol, Rifle & Shotgun Training, Private and Group Classes. The concealed handgun permit curriculum includes: *Pistol Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling *Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting *Two-Handed and One Handed Shooting Positions *Discuss selecting the proper pistol *Colorado Revised Statutes *Live Fire *Certificate Awarded The curriculum included classroom instruction covering a basic pistol course, firearm safety, marksmanship training, Colorado Laws on the carrying of a concealed pistol and the use of deadly force. Students will go to the range and shoot up to 100 practice rounds and then do a shooting qualification test. The training certificate awarded exceeds the education requirement set by the state of Colorado to apply for a permit to carry a concealed handgun. Classes are $150. I offer classes that do not involve shooting at a reduced cost of $130.00. This class still meets the minimum state educational requirements to obtain a concealed handgun permit
