I was in with my puppy on 8/28/13. When I made the appointment I was quoted $35 for a "puppy visit" & told it was for "exam, shots, fecal check,deworming", which is the reason I made the appointment at their new office instead of my usual vet (who charges $58 for puppy visit that also includes a heartgard plus chew & a dose of frontline plus). When I saw the doctor, he went over what we were going to do: dhlpp, pbb, fecal, deworming.
At no point was I told this wasn't the $35 "puppy visit" I scheduled. I had no idea I was being charged an additional $20 for the pbb, which I probably would have waited on since I prefer to give 1 vaccine at a time, and I definitely wasn't told I was being charged another $20 for the lepto, which I would have declined any way if given the option for dhlpp vs dhpp.
What really bothers me is the lepto vaccine. I SAW the vial, which was dhpp with lepto. It was NOT a second vaccine given. So to charge me for 2 vaccines is ubsurd. I would understand the charge if the lepto was a portion on its own & my pup was given a dhpp AND a lepto, which is how some vets do it but that is NOT what happened. I was charged a separate fee for a portion of a vaccine that was included in the vial, not for another vial, another syringe, another administration.
My bill came to $113, but the dr did discount it down to $67, which is something but still almost twice what I was told it would be when I made the appointment & again confirmed when I arrived. They do have an adult vaccine package that is $67, which I suspect is what my services were discounted down to, but that included a rabies which my pup is still too young for & I believe a heartworm test, again too young. I think a fair cost of what was provided should have been $50, since a lepto vaccine was NOT given (it was a Pfizer 5 way dhlpp) & they are currently running a $15 vaccine coupon which would have covered the pbb that I was NOT told wasn't part of the puppy package. Even if I was charged $50 ($35 puppy package + $15 pbb), I still would have felt like I was overcharged, just not totally taken advantage of like i do now. Luckily I had my debit card & not just the cash I brought for the appointment. What would they have done then?
They really need to communicate to the clients when they intend to do something that is at an additional cost to what was previously scheduled & quoted. I know I am not being unreasonable. I am a veterinary technician & worked in the veterinary field for 15 years until 2 yrs ago& always quoted for anything additional I suggested as well as anything the pet owner asked for beyond what the appointment was originally scheduled for.

We had a great experience here for my Rottweiler puppy who was tested and treated for worms on a Sunday. Very happy!

Took my dog in for a same day office visit, after she was showing signs of being really sick. Well turns out she got an infection, after swimming FOR HOURS and HOURS in the lake, from an small cut on her neck. 2 antibiotic shots, and cream, and she is already doing a ton better! So glad I took her in, as it could of gotten even worse. PRICE WAS ONLY $108!! For the same day office visit, shot, cream for home, and in office treatment of her neck. THANKS A TON!!!

I took my cat in due to her losing her appetite and energy all of sudden. The receptionist(s) were all very helpful and nice and the Dr. was very nice and caring. The place is clean, and I felt comfortable being there/ having my cats life in their hands. Within 3 minutes of looking at her, he knew she had a liver disease called Lipidosis. He met me half way with the price I could afford compared to the price it actually was, and I am forever grateful. My cats behavior changed drastically in less than 24 hours. They saved my cat's life and I honestly could not thank them enough. The receptionist even sent me pictures of her and would let me know how she was doing or what she was up too, I loved it! I highly recommend going here, they are a great animal hospital, with a great staff, and I am definitely glad I gave them a visit!

I brought my sister'a kitten and my kitten at the same time because they were both very sick when we rescued them. The bill ended up being 190 dollars, 150 of which I paid (since I am a university student with little money.) The doctor said that I could pay back the other 40 dollars at another time. I get a voicemail today from a very rude lady claiming she has sent letters and tried calling for the 40 dollars for a couple months now, and that if it's not paid in 30 days they are reporting it to the police and placing a warrant for my arrest? I have received one voicemail before this (during finals week which I was totally busy studying) and never received a letter according to my mother. First off, you report the money to collections not the police and second, I would have paid the whopping 40 dollars by now if they would have actually sent a letter as contact by phone is not always reliable (Michigan state university does not receive the best phone service). I referred many people to this clinic but never again will I do that.

I drove over 45m to get thier and let me tell you it was worth it! As soon as i walked in i was shocked to not smell animals! The two young ladies were excellent, i observed a woman who was giving them a hard time about paying a bill, Ashley and the Dr handled that situation so gracefully on top of that I got the kind of care i expect for my animals! you won't find thier prices anywhere!

I took my dog in and was quoted a fee of $35 for one test and $45 for another. Medication had to be giving so, the cost went up to $160. I was told to bring my dog in the next day for a follow up and pills. I asked if it would be an additional charge. The female that was assisting said no, everything was included in today's cost. I had to work the next day so, I had my daughter take my dog back. She called me and said I was charged another $86.

This place is amazing and taking off fast! I never met a DR. so involved and compassionate, the entire staff treats my babies like thier own, cant beat the prices either! Free exams! I was used to paying $38!! Its always clean and smells good, but most important..my dogs love it thier! :)

The staff is knowledgeable and caring .I recommended this place .they caring pets and love them like our family members.....

Dr. Avtar Madahar D.M.V. is a knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate vet! Recently, our cat Zorro escaped and ran under our neighbor's porch. Zorro helped us discover a small kitten who was not been properly cared for by its owner. Trapped outside in the cold of winter prompted us to take in and adopt the kitten. We took her to Dr. Madahar for a check up. He helped give our new pet vaccinations and treat her dermititis. Pricing is competitive and not exorbitant. I highly recommend him.

If you want a veterinarian that actually cares for the animals and not just making money this is the place to go. My experience there was very good. The staff is knowledgeable and caring professional and personable. I recommend this place all the way.
