Guest46678... This individual is all about self, if anybody were to take the time in the shop they would find the lady who is part owner to be fun. Clearly Guest46678 did not get there "expected hand and foot treatment," your no bigger then anybody else in this world. Respectful to your farther of 60 a lady deserves as much respect. I don't have a clue about music but the employees' and woman owner took extra time to go out of their way and find out what I was looking for. To add the woman that owns the place has an infectious smile and personality to match, in a couple of words you can say she is very captivating. So the real question remains. Were you really treated with such poor respect or was your professional high profile stuck-up violin standards violated? Respect work both ways, entitlements is a one way street. Frets is a great store, take the time and try them out, they respect all.

My family and friends have been dealing with Frets for MANY years now. Not only are the owners professional, friendly & knowledgeable, they will go out of their way to help find exactly what you are looking for - even going the extra mile of referring a customer elsewhere if necessary. I highly recommend this business to anyone - from professional musician to the casual browser!

I have to laugh at those reviews. First, because they were obviously writen by the same person, and second, I don't believe that Frets deals in new guitars...but I could be wrong. I am a professional musician, and while I have not used their services, musicians whom I respect have and rave about the workmanship. he same reviews were left at merchant circle as well. Too funny.

I recently entered Frets Music shop in Westerly, while home visiting my family. As a professional violist in the Washington/Baltimore region, my father and I visited the shop (I must say my father is an exceptional guitarist), and were treated with the least respect I have ever seen in a business. I could not believe that my father at 60 was spoken to like a child by the woman who claimed to be part owner, and then when I went back trying to rectify the situation, was treated with the same disrespect. I pointed out that I am professional violist and the woman at Frets had the gall to sit and say "Good for you, and clapped her hands while sticking her tongue out. This shop was absolutely unlike anything I have ever seen and would highly recommend people stay far away. There is a very kind business owner a bit farther down the road, where we ultimately purchased a very nice Gibson for my dad and were on our way. Stay away from Frets at all costs, or enter at your own risk.
