General Info: With more than 2,000 patents, Modine Manufacturing Company has been a worldwide leader in thermal management for more than 90 years. The company designs, engineers, tests and manufactures heat transfer products for a range of applications and markets. Its West Kingston, R.I., location specializes in manufacturing steam and hot water heaters, electric unit heaters, oil-fired heaters and cabinet heaters. It supplies these products to the commercial heating, ventilating and air conditioning markets through heating and plumbing wholesalers and mechanical contractors. Modine employs more than 60 people at this ISO 9002 certified facility. With operations on three continents, the company employs more than 8,200 people worldwide, including approximately 600 engineers. Other products produced by Modine include modules, heat transfer packages, oil coolers, air conditioning systems, duct furnaces and exhaust circulation coolers for automobiles, electronics, buildings, refrigeration and agriculture, construction and industrial equipment. Modine s major clients include BMW, Caterpillar, Hyundai, John Deere and Volkswagon.
