- NeurologyRandall Kavalier, D.O. is Board Certified in General Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Kavalier is a graduate of the University of Osteopathic Medicine here in Des Moines, Iowa. He continued his medical training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri where he successfully completed his Pediatric Residency. Dr. Kavalier completed his General Psychiatry Residency and Child Psychiatry Fellowship at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka, Kansas before entering private practice in 1991. Through the years Dr. Kavalier has treated patients of all ages but concentrates his practice with children and adolescents without regard to specific diagnoses or disorders. His experience in treating children and adolescents at all levels of care has given him the breadth and depth of knowledge that are essential for effective teaching of psychiatric medication management options. He is a frequent speaker much in demand for his prescribing experience with psychiatric medications, particularly with children and adolescents. He serves as the Consulting Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for Polk County Youth Services. Dr. Kavalier is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Iowa Psychiatric Society and the Iowa Medical Society.

She completed her doctorate program in School Psychology and Statistics and Research Methods at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado in 2015. She has previously worked in community mental health in Des Moines and the Denver, Colorado metro area. Dr. Little has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She has training in Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). In addition to providing therapy services Dr. Little completes psychological evaluations for clients to diagnose a range of mental health concerns including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and Learning Disabilities. Dr. Little is a member of the American Psychological Association.

Nicole has experience working with children and families as a lead therapist in a residential setting. Nicole has a broad range of skills in working with many different mental health diagnoses and utilizing family support to implement lasting change for the individuals served. Using primarily a strengths-based perspective, Nicole is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Nicole is passionate about serving both individuals and families ranging from children, adolescents, and adults.
