Will not be renewing my service with Aptive. They charge you quarterly for their services and then don’t show up on the day they’re scheduled to service your home. I was home the day they were supposed to arrive and they never did. And my credit card was charged 4 days before the scheduled visit. I never received the mandatory call that they were on their way, and their company records claimed that my house was serviced. Seeing as my house was not serviced I cannot continue to support a business that scams it’s customers and doesn’t follow through on their promise. Your customer service representative was also condescending and unhelpful. She kept repeating that her records showed our house was serviced. It’s great that you think your computer database is never wrong, but I was there in person and no one ever showed up.
An Aptive sales representative, named Dax, was going door to door on our street in Finneytown just now, not at all being mindful to maintain social distance and with NO MASK, in the middle of the Covid19 pandemic. My father is elderly and has health complications which put him in the highest risk category with this virus. Being elderly, his mental faculties are not always running at their highest capacity anymore, and he opened the door not thinking about the risk. The Aptive sales representative proceeded to deliver his sales pitch within just a couple feet of my father's face, again wearing no mask. I pulled my father inside the house once I saw what was happening and kindly asked the rep to leave.
This rep is going door-to-door talking with potentially a hundred or so people a day, and if he's mask-less and refusing to maintain social distance, it's only a matter of time before he becomes a carrier and spreader of the virus even if he's asymptomatic. I only pray he's not already a carrier so that he didn't just pass it on to my father. It is absolutely unconscionable and immoral that Aptive is sending sales reps out there to go door-to-door WITHOUT masks for their own and their potential customers' protection. This is a RECKLESS company and their careless door-to-door sales practices are a dangerous hazard to public health.
The reps who sign you up will straight up lie to you. The reps will say anything to get the service and of course know that you will not read the entire contract.
The person insisted that all charges would be refunded and that the contract would be void if we did not see a lasting and marked improvement regarding pests and insects. The effects of the treatments are indeed seen - though only for about 2-3 weeks and then everything returns to the way it was (and perhaps worse).
I have now paid over $250 to this horrible company and they are billing me for an additional $150 per the terms of the contract.
To make matters worse, I am now receiving menacing calls from these people insisting the amount must be paid. If not paid the matter will be sent to collections.
Save your money and go through another service. Spiders, mosquitos and fleas continue to be an issue. Every morning there are more spider webs around our outside fixtures. Aptive has treated twice and no bugs were ever killed. And I can't even login to their customer support, so no help there. They have been unresponsive to emails. As soon as I can I will be canceling my service
Unsolicited, a Aptive salesman knocked on my door this morning with "your wife said that I should stop by when the red truck was in the driveway." With my wife at work, I surmised that she intended for us to consider Aptive. Short version is that after signing up for an annual contract, I sent a text to my wife to confirm. The reply that I got was "I told him that we weren't interested and he shouldn't bother coming back." Yeah, bad on me a little for not knowing. I'll be sending that Notice of Cancellation in just as fast as I can get it printed, signed, and get to a scanner.
Aptive may have a good product and may in fact, as many of the comments suggest, provide decent service. That said, training your sales folk to be straight-up liars ain't likely a good brand awareness strategy.
Thomas M was great. We had pressure washed our deck shortly after being serviced and he was happy to come out and spray again free of charge. He was pleasant and very accommodating and did a great job cleaning out my webs on a two story awning. I hope he stays in our area! Angella D.
Poor business practice in Ohio . Will quote you a price with followup (free) actually charge you for followup and if you try to cancel the contract (ever) you have to pay the Full price for the first treatment that they discounted. All is documented of course in the fine print . BEWARE
I was thoroughly impressed with Aptive and their two Service Pro's, Andrew and Nathan. They arrived on time and explained everything thoroughly. I have never had such a positive experience with an insect/pest control company. I will definitely be recommending Aptive to my family and friends. -Holly S.
