      Newton and Wellesley Alzheimer Center provides care to its residents in the mid-to-late stages of Alzheimer s disease and with other forms of dementia. It offers a range of medical services, including short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled care to meet the individual needs of its residents. The center can accommodate up to 110 residents and offers a range of outdoor recreational, entertainment and spiritual enhancement activities. Its activities professionals develop personalized plans of hobbies and activities for residents. Newton and Wellesley Alzheimer Center offers home therapy assessments, daily money management, nutritional counseling, on-site optometry and podiatry and wound care, and physical, occupational and speech therapies. It is a part of Kindred Healthcare, which operates several long-term acute care hospitals, skilled nursing centers and a contract rehabilitation services business through its subsidiaries across the United States. Newton and Wellesley Alzheimer Center is located in Wellesley, Mass.
