Trident Precision Manufacturing was founded in 1979. At that time, it provided customers with tools and dies to support their in-house production. The company has grown into a leading contract manufacturer of custom products, electro/mechanical assemblies and precision metal components. In 1986, the company purchased 11 acres of industrial property in Webster, N.Y., and constructed a 35,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The facility has grown to 145,000 square feet and is still expanding. In 1994, Trident was one of five recipients of the New York State Governors Excelsior Award. Also in 1994, the company became ISO 9002 registered. In 1996, it received the Malcolm Baldrige Award.
