- In 1940, the Pajaro Valley Historical Association was established to preserve, interpret, and promote the history of the diverse cultures that shaped California’s Monterey Bay area. The Bockius-Orr House in the city of Watsonville has been the organization's headquarter since 1997, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
