Established in 1992, American International Health Alliance is a nonprofit organization that develops a variety of institutional and human resource programs throughout the world. It offers technical assistance with the help of physicians, nurses, administrators, educators, allied health professionals and civic leaders. The organization s programs addresses issues related to HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases, primary care, emergency and disaster preparedness, and maternal and child health, as well as health professional education and development. It additionally provides management and programmatic support services for donor institutions and health systems to deal with various diseases, such as asthma, diabetes, tuberculosis, heart problems and breast cancer. The organization operates under several cooperative agreements and grants from donor agencies, including the United States Agency for International Development, World Health Organization, German Society for Technical Cooperation, and the US Department of Health and Human Services. American International Health Alliance has partnerships with more than 125 organizations and operates programs in over 30 countries worldwide.
