The Glenholme School is boarding school for children with special needs. It serves children grades 5 through 12. The school offers self-contained and departmentalized classes and small group and individualized instruction, as well as focuses on the development of social skills. The Glenholme School serves children with Asperger's disease, bipolar disorder, depression, tourettes syndrome and additional learning disabilities. It supports various athletic activities that include soccer, basketball, softball, tennis, track and field, swimming, volleyball, cheerleading, hiking, archery and go-carting. The school also administers intramural and interscholastic sports activities, elective activity periods, fine and performing arts, horticulture and equestrian program. The Glenholme School additionally offers occupational therapy, tutoring and standardized educational testing services. It is located in Washington, Conn.
