- Emergency CareDr. Mirrer reserves the right to discontinue care and discharge a non-compliant patient at any time. The patient will be provided with the names and phone numbers of other local orthopedic surgeons in the area. Our doctors will continue to provide the patient with emergency care for 30 days after the termination.
- MRIBring any imaging studies (x-ray, CT-scans, and MRI’s). Be sure to bring a CD of your images, not just the written report.

- ArthroscopyFranklin E. Mirrer, M.D. is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon, fellowship trained in sports medicine and is the team orthopedic surgeon for the Providence College Men’s Basketball Team. He is the team physician for the Community College of Rhode Island. His surgical specialties include shoulder and knee arthroscopy. He routinely performs labral tear repair, instability repair, rotator cuff repair, and takes an arthroscopic approach to all shoulder injuries. He performs knee arthroscopy for meniscus and cartilage injuries, and specializes in ACL surgery.

- Reconstructive SurgeryDr. Mirrer with Justin Davis, high school football standout: Justin had knee reconstructive surgery for a football injury. He returned the next season to win First Team All-Division at Tight End and First team All-State at Defensive End.
- Sports MedicineIn addition to his involvement in sports medicine at PC, Dr. Mirrer has also had extensive experience caring for athletes during the years of his residency and fellowship training. This has included experience with NFL athletes, and college athletes at Tulane University, Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mirrer was a prior college baseball pitcher and quarterback himself. He has participated in competitive sports for most of his life. He understands that the goal of each athlete he treats is to get back to their sport at 100% as soon as possible.
