      General Info
      Year-Round Springboard diving Day-Camps, Classes, and Teams are offered by CDA offers Learn-to-Dive (beginners), Intermediate, and Advanced diving programs year-round. Each participant safely advances at their own pace through individually tailored progressive skills with charted advancement in classes designed for EVERYONE from total beginners to the most advanced divers. For beginners, learn all of diving’s basic skills: Hurdle, Press, Take-off, Approach, Jumps, Line-ups, Dives, and various Somersaults. Instruction is focused on the “FUN-damentals.” While Intermediate/Advanced divers, are offered the latest techniques including use of our two dryland facilities and Tower. Springboard diving is a safe and fun sport for all ages. Diving offers mental skill-building elements (focus, confidence, and self-reliance) along with the physical strengths coached and garnered by diving. California Diving Academy (CDA) utilizes progressive training techniques that are tailored to match your individual starting skills and goals in dryland and at the pool. CDA offers classes, private lessons, and competitive teams at every level - from our Future Champion programs (beginners); to Junior Olympic, High School, College, Elite, and Masters (over 18) diving opportunities. Our coaching staff has thousands of hours as competitive divers and diving coaches at every level. We are very proud of the talent, experience, and teaching techniques offered by all of our coaches and staff. The art and grace of springboard diving dates back to the 17th century and was added to the Olympics in 1904. Legendary names like: Patricia McCormick, Micki King, Jennifer Chandler, Fu Mingxia, and Chen Ruolin. As well as men like: Greg Louganis, Troy Dumais, David Boudia, and Kristian Ipsen. These divers are icons in society; based in-part on their skills as divers.
