Established in 1972, John Hanson Middle School has an enrollment of more than 900 students in sixth through eighth grades. The school s amenities include a cafeteria, gymnasium, library media center, faculty lounge, auditorium, computer laboratories, and art and music rooms. It also provides meal and bus transportation services to the students. The school has a parent-teacher-student association that works towards the promotion of welfare of students and youth in the home, school, community and places of worship. Located in Waldorf, Md., John Hanson Middle School is operated by Charles County Public Schools, which serves more than 26,500 students in over 40 educational centers.
