Established in 1947, Hale Makua is one of the leading health care communities in Hawaii. It is a nonprofit organization that offers outpatient rehabilitation home health and family care services. The organization has a partnership with Maui Long Term Care. It also provides respite care services. The organization offers laundry and housekeeping services, as well as social and recreational activities. Additionally, Hale Makua conducts several fundraising activities. It provides special care for residents with Alzheimer s disease. The organization specializes in physical and occupational therapies and offers treatment for knee injuries, arthritis, strokes, hip fractures, brain trauma, and cancer and cardiac diseases. Hale Makua maintains locations in Kahului and Wailuku, Hawaii.
