Priced out of housing? River Park Apartments is a Seniors-only complex that is income- restricted. I live here, in a neat white fourplex with an open, roomy floor plan, with laundry hookups. The location is fantastic: near downtown, and across the street from an open field, River Walk, and the Brazos River. There is a community laundry, pool, and small gym. There are neat hedges, sidewalks, and covered parking. You can have a pet. It is a gated community, with a resident Waco Police officer, safe and pretty quiet. You can sometimes hear Waco Drive traffic a block away, and lonesome train whistles a little ways away. Activities are few, but getting a bit better. Maintenance has taken care of me promptly. The manager seems stressed and curt to me at times. I am hoping my positive review will help fill up all the units, and help her ease up. Full disclosure: If you tell the manager I recommended River Park, and you move in by October 31, 2018, I will get a $300 referral fee. And you will get the nicest Waco apartment you can get, for the price.
