O. J. Neighbours Elementary School is one of two elementary schools in the Wabash City School Corporation, housing kindergarten through third grade, with an average yearly enrollment of 500 students. Built in 1964 and named after Owen Jones Neighbours, a former high school principal and superintendent of Wabash City Schools for 35 years, it underwent major reconstruction in 1993 that tripled its size by adding two wings and making it a 86,000-square-foot faciliy. OJN houses many different programs for different types of learners, ranging from programs for talented students, learning disabled students, mildly mentally disabled students, emotionally disabled students and at-risk students. The school is located in Wabash, Ind.
