Seaside Behavioral Health

Jennifer Brown was mean, insensitive, cold and a prejudice.I've heard many stories about her through the years before actually having the experience. The stories hold true to everything I heard through the years. She is a bitter mean psychiatrist that I would not recommend my dog or enemy to for any psychotropic medication. She was always rude and cold. I would go on a waiting list before I would ever go back to her. She has lost many customers due to her nasty attitude. And the only reason why I brought my loved one to her is because it took so long to get into somewhere else. Horrible experience!

I am sharing this as I sit in the waiting room for my initial appointment. I choose to write this due to the amount of disrespect I was shown by both Michele and the practice manager, Carolyn. I was greeted by Michelle upon coming in the very small office, gave her my completed paperwork, and was told there was an issue with my insurance. This I already knew because I had another appointment just moments before this one. I made her aware that my insurance is active and if she could verify by calling the provider line. Which most dr offices do, I know because I do the exact same thing. She told me she could not, rather, would not, that she had to use the online service to verify my insurance which may I add has been incorrect time and time again. So I ask if I can call them myself, she said yes but tried to come up with an excuse about time. She then realized I was very early for my appointment. I stepped out of the office and verified my own insurance, I asked Michelle if she could speak to Anthem BCBS, she refused. Michelle then tells me today I will have to pay $140 for this visit. Alright, well now I’m in a conundrum because I have my insurance company on the line willing to work with you but you won’t work with them, got it. So as I ask the woman on the line to send me something proving I have active insurance, I hear Michelle talking to Carolyn the practice administrator. To my dismay my concerns are disregarded. Finally I catch a break and the insurance woman calls the office and speaks to Carolyn, verifying what I am saying is correct. It would have been verified and over with had anyone ANYONE did their job. Instead of my visit costing 140$ It was $42. OH WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I am happy I fought so hard because Dr. Kubin is an absolute delight. I knew in my mind I was not going to return and every referral that comes pass my desk, I am going to go out of my way and make sure they do not do business with Seaside Behavioral Health. Moral ethics should have moved these woman to take 5 minutes and do the right thing. I am utterly disgusted with how I was treated.

6/5/2019 I received a letter in the mail stating that they were sending me to collections for services that ARE covered by my insurance. As a tit for tat they capitalized and highlighted points that were a jab to me. For such a small amount of money owed (98$) I am being “reported to the credit agencies”. Okay ���� I bet you’ll never see the 98$ but you will see my review on every social platform!!
