I must say that after reading letsgojets20067 review of this church and several others, you would think that there is not a decent church in the Tidewater area. I am not familiar with the other two church's, but I did attend this church for about 4-5 years back in 1998-2003 and had absolutely none of the issues that he mentioned. I think any church is only as good as you make it. You are going to find hypocrits in any church and there is NEVER a guarantee that you will mesh with the people in your particular Sunday School class. If I found that I couldn't mesh with anybody at three different churches, and then felt the need to bash them in a public forum, I would think that a good long look in the mirror and a lot of prayer would be appropriate. God never promised that we would all be friends. He never even promised that we would all like each other. He said we need to love each other. I can still love someone and not hang out with them. Does it make me a fake to be cordial to someone and never go out for coffee? No, it makes me human. Does it make my daughter a fake to not go out with boys because that is the rule that I have set for her? No, it makes her an obedient child (as the Bible instructs her to be).



I no longer attend KBC because I have moved out of the area, but if you are new to the area and are looking for a great church I would recommend KBC whole-heartedly. I'm not promising you will be friends with everybody, but you will hear some great preaching and make some great friendships if you give it a chance.

these people are a bunch of fakes at this group. i gave multiple people in the college and career group my number and they promised they would call and hang out, go to movies, out to applebees and so forth and NOT ONE OF THEM called me! these fake christians should practice what they preach. God wouldn't be happy with their actions. this was in a 5 month span of time that i was in the church and i had no invites nor did i feel welcome here by these imposters. that was back in fall of 2006 when i started going there. haven't had a call from any of the people in the group! fakes! glad i'm through with that church group!
