I paid $800 to have this shop rebuild my failing transmission. 15 months and 7, 000 miles later it failed. Reverse was slipping badly. Took it back to the shop and they verified that it was slipping but would not warrantee it because it was past the 12 month period. I ended up having to have another transmission installed. I stored this transmission for later use. I recently had this transmission was professionally inspected and repaired. What was found was appalling. The Case was cracked and repaired in 2 places with JB Weld. The damage was to a reverse piston bolt boss and caused by over-torguing the bolt (cause of reverse slipping). The other repair was on the bell housing. Only 2 check balls where installed. 1 steel, and 1 clutch were missing from forward drum. The rest of the clutches were a mix of old and new clutches. Several bushing and thrust washers were worn beyond tolerance. This goes beyond incompetence, it was a blatant attempt to deceive and RIPOFF.
