      Wabash Valley Human Services, located in Vincennes, Ind., is a private nonprofit corporation that works for community development and provides services to low-income residents in southwestern Indiana. The organization develops and implements programs that assist individuals in personal development toward independence. It also coordinates public, private and corporate resources focusing on the alleviation of poverty. Its services include a range of areas, such as emergency assistance; emergency food and shelter; computer lab; energy assistance; food pantry; home program; and children s fund. The corporation s weatherization technicians use advanced energy audits and diagnostic equipment to identify cost-effective, energy saving measures for each home. The energy saving measures includes installing insulation, reducing air infiltration, performing heating tune-ups and modifications, and replacing faulty units that cannot be saved.
