      The Ventura Family YMCA, established in 1887, is located in Ventura, Calif. The organization has more than 5,000 facility members and provides child care to over 200 children through its after-school programs. It serves Oxnard, Santa Paula and Fillmore counties in California. The Ventura Family YMCA offers beginner, intermediate and advanced aquatic programs for children and adults. The organization s resident and summer day camps include various activities, including lake swimming, canoeing, hiking, wall climbing, and arts and crafts. It also provides on- and off-site child care programs. The Ventura Family YMCA s SilverSneakers program offers multilevel equipment-based strength and conditioning exercises designed for Medicare-eligible individuals. In addition, the organization provides healthy lifestyle, exercise and sports programs.
