My Primary Care Physician referred me to Dr Dean Barrus at this clinic, because I have neck stiffness that is linked to arthritis and degenerated neck discs (after spending 50 years of computer screen staring). Seen no one by the name of Dean Barrus at the clinic. Was assigned to Physical Therapist Jessica. She in turn delegated my treatment to assistants in two out of my four visits to the clinic. None of the people who treated me asked to see the X-Ray of my neck, to determine which Gym exercises or neck manipulations are appropriate. Ended up with more neck pain and stiffness than when I started my four visits. All the therapists and assistants I saw were tending to other patients during my time slot, not just me. I prefer a PT clinic where the same therapist is dedicated to my case during my time slot. A dedicated therapist who knows my medical (neck) condition very well (from X-rays, PCP instructions, and my treatment progress). And, a therapist who is certified in the field of geriatric physical therapy (I am 76 years old). On a side-line, my bill from this clinic listed $18, charged to Medicare, for the use of a (re-usable) heated pack to warm my neck & shoulders! I have never been charged for a hot/cold pack that is used by the clinic during my treatment.

Don't go this clinic !!!

I will give it a zero star if there is one available. This 'Urgent Medical Center' close to Vancouver Mall is really a joke ! I went in to this clinic for major purpose of getting my medication refill but sort of IN VAIN. Very disappointed I was assigned to see Valerie Smith, D.O. for a scheduled appointment on Dec. 8, 2014 (Monday). I have been taking one kind of medication (0.5 mg, 3 times a day, 90 pills/month) for more than 10 years. I normally got one year’s refill supply from my previous doctor every year I went in for annual examination without any problem. The reason I sought a new primary doctor was that the doctor that prescribed me the medication retired recently. After talk with Valerie Smith, D.O I doubt she has any knowledge about the symptom I have and I don’t even think she is qualified to be a 'doctor'. Ironically she prescribed me a LOW DOSE 0.25 mg pill? and she was so generous (?) to prescribe me 20 of 0.25 mg pill and no refill. She said that is their policy that you need to come in for an office visit to get a refill. Do they think patients are money making machine or what ??? OK so I brought the prescription she wrote to my local pharmacy. The pharmacist was laughing loud and said that how could this doctor be claimed as a doctor that she does not even know that the lowest dosage of that kind of medication is 0.5 mg. The pharmacist said if you want a lower dosage than 0.5 mg then only the powder form for the babies is available. Isn’t that ridiculous ? The pharmacist I talked to promised to contact with that clinic. So far 36 hours gone by I have not heard anything from either clinic or pharmacy. It is really a waste of time going into this clinic and being charged an un-useful consultation. I will contest this charge when the bill comes in. Avoid this 'Urgent' Medical Center in every event. Don't waste your time and money.

great place..kind people who know what they are doing

Very kind therapists and staff. I have been to several places and this is the best in Vancouver. They knew what to do, how to do it and did not ask me to be treated for longer than needed. My doctor told me he had used them for years and felt like they were the best. Much more experienced than the new grads at rebound. I will return if I ever need to.

Not good care and Horrible Business Practices

I only went a few times because I thought there care was sub par and ended up switching to Rebound- which I Highly Recommend. Its has been over two years and they just sent us a bill and said to pay it within two weeks or we will go to collections. They hired a new billing person who is reviewing charts and looking at "errors" made. Really, two years and you come up with a new charge- so ridiculous, and to top it off say you will send to collections.
