General Info
I am a licensed mental health counselor, member of American Counseling Association, National Board of Certified Counselors and Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. I graduated from University of Washington Vancouver campus in 2005, with BS in psychology and went to graduate school at Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon and obtained a masters in counseling psychology in 2008. I have provided mental health services at inpatient settings -child and adolescent residential treatment facility and adult residential treatment facility. I also have provided a safe environment for healing in an outpatient setting through individual and family counseling at community mental health. I volunteered at a homeless shelter, school based behavioral class room at an elementary school and was a lunch buddy in my local community. I have extensive experience in providing mental health services to children, adolescents and adults with a variety of struggles such as: depression, anxiety ADHD, ADD, bipolar, OCD, developmental delay combined with mental health, PTSD, panic attacks, grief and loss, traumatic grief, mood issues, suicidal, and low self esteem. I provide assistance with mental health struggles in individual therapy, family therapy and group therapy settings using cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral learning, relaxation training, anger management, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, problem solving, parenting, behavioral management, activities of daily living, rational emotive behavioral therapy and emotional regulation, mindfulness and distress tolerance as seen in dialectical behavioral therapy.
