The pizza is good. But I think that just as important as the food is the atmosphere. I went with my husband and our grandchildren aged 2 and 4 after church to enjoy and by accident my 2 yr old grandson, spilled the ice water over the table and on the floor. The waitress came with 2 small towels which did not absorbed any water. I cleaned the table with napkins. I told her about the towels not absorbing water, and she said: Yes, you are right! But kept using them anyway. I asked for a mop. She brought it, and in my nice clothes, mops the floor, took care of the chairs, etc. I even had to take the mop back to the man who was standing on the back looking. He did not even thank me for doing their job. And I even asked for a trash can to put the wet napkins. Instead of taking them out of my hands, he showed me the trash can for me to put them inside. This is a great place. Friendly, warm people that care about the food they are serving. The owner came over to my table to make sure what he prepared for me was exactly what I wanted. I could not quite find what I wanted, not for lack of choices, I was in a mood for an old fashion Italian dish and it was not on the menu, NO problem said the owner, and he made a special dish of shrimp, garlic, olive oil over a beautifully done ziti. My second time, I ordered take out, just as fab, the calzone was huge, done to perfection. The eggplant parmesan was excellent just like my grandmother used to make. Generous portions, prices are more than fair. He makes wonderful food, takes pride in his work, makes sure your happy. We needed an authentic Italian Resturant nearby and from now on we go to Joel's.
