I have a 14 year old mixed breed shelter dog with a nervous personality. She's been going to Alan's Canine Kennels for at least 10 years now where Karen understands Deedee's temperament. Karen is the only person I trust my dog to, and I check availability at the kennel first, before making any of my other trip reservations.

Our 6 year old poodle's first stay at Alan's Canine was when he was 4 months old. Over the years he has formed quite the attachment to Karen, Alan and their staff.



We now live most of the year in Washington State, but continue to take Toby to Alan's whenever we are visiting family and friends in the area. When we planned a trip to Orlando FL during Christmas time this year, we first made sure that there was room at Alan's for Toby to stay the week.



Even though Toby's always excited to see us upon our return, he makes sure to give Karen a hug goodbye.

The kennels were very clean and the staff friendly. My little 11 pound dog was a rescue dog which had been abandoned. I was worried about taking her to a kennel but we had to leave for a week. When I returned she was bouncing and happy. I would defintely leave her here again.

We have been boarding our dogs at Alan's Canine in DIxon for quite a few years, and twice now since they moved to their new facilities in Vacaville. Our dogs are part of the family and we're extremely picky about their care when the need to board them arises. I can't say enough positive things about Alan's Canine -- we always have peace of mind when we travel. Our dogs are not very dog friendly and one is not always people friendly, but this has never been an issue for Karen or her staff. She's always willing to work with whatever issues your dog has and establishes a loving relationship with them. This is why, even though we moved almost 100 miles east of Vacaville a year ago, we still drive our dogs all the way back there if boarding is necessary.

Alan's Canine Kennels is a true home away from home for your best friends. The facility is extremely clean and well run. Your pets will be taken care of in a wonderful manner. The personel are knowledgeable and attentive to your pets needs.



In addition to kennels, they offer training for the beginning puppy or mature dog.



Since the owners live on premises, your pets will be care for and monitored at all times.



Our best friends, Rudy and Paddy can't wait to stay at Alan's Kennels again. They love the fun they have there.

Alan’s new kennel surpasses his former site in Dixon. Aside from being closer to the Bay Area, (and cooler than Dixon) his expansion plans will give he and Karen a state of the art facility in easy reach of everyone in Solano County and beyond.



Aside from kenneling, Alan also has over 30 years experience as a dog trainer in the fields of protection, tracking and obedience. This knowledge into the understanding of what a dog senses and reacts to make Alan’s method of training far above other training systems. I have had my German Shepherd trained with Alan and will shortly be bringing my new dog (Irish Setter) to him for higher education sessions.



As you can see, I travel a pretty fair distance to get to Alan's, but it is worth it!
