- Dental SealantsWe offer a wide range of preventative services for children, including fluoride varnish and fissure sealants. Fluoride varnish is a safe and effective way to safeguard your child’s teeth and make them stronger so they are less likely to develop cavities/to slow and prevent cavities. Fissure sealants can also help prevent decay in their adult teeth.
- Fillings
- Resin CompositeAre made of composite resin and provide a very strong and aesthetically pleasing restoration. Composite fillings are tooth-coloured and give your teeth a more natural appearance, particulary for visible front teeth. They are probably the most common treatment we provide on a daily basis. In addition, they require less tooth preparation (drilling) than metal fillings do, leaving more of your natural tooth foundation in place.
- Veneers
- CrownsA dental crown,(often referred to as a ‘cap’) is an ideal solution that works effectively to strengthen or restore a single tooth. If your tooth is cracked, decayed or has some inherent weakness, a crown can be a great solution. It is effectively a custom-made top that fits completely over the entire tooth and is made in a dental lab to match to your individual “bite”. Crowns can be used for cosmetic enhancements, improving the appearance of a tooth that is discolored or misshapen as well. Crowns are often recommended after a root canal treatment where a tooth is left weak or brittle, to protect and reinforce your natural tooth whilst returning it to full function. We offer Porcelain, Emax, Zirconia, Gold and metal crowns depending on which is best to suit your needs.
- BridgesIf you’re missing one or more teeth in a row, a dental bridge is potentially an excellent solution for you. The bridge fills the space left by a missing tooth (or multiple teeth). It is anchored in place by one or two dental crowns either side of the gap. In between these two crowns is a porcelain tooth designed to replicate your natural teeth, and therefore replacing the missing tooth (or teeth) seamlessly. A dental bridge provides an excellent solution for this and you can care for your bridge as you would for your natural teeth – simply brush and floss as normal. Dental bridges can last many years, if taken care of appropriately.
- Restorative DentistryI qualified from Glasgow University in 2010 and completed my foundation training in Scotland prior to moving to Northern Ireland. To further enhance my expertise, I undertook a course in Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry at the London Dental Education Centre and the Operative Restorative Dentistry course run by Dr Paul Tipton. I am also a member of the prestigious Faculty of Dental Surgeons in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow.
- Root Canal TreatmentRoot canal treatment is a complex treatment generally recommended when the pulp (the nerve supply) of the tooth becomes infected. When this happens, the infection can spread through the tooth and develops into an abscess which can be extremely painful.
- DenturesRemovable dentures fabricated in metal, acrylic (plastic) or flexible acrylic can fit seamlessly within your mouth to provide aesthetic or functional enhancements.
- Dental ImplantsDental implants are now considered the gold standard for replacing missing teeth and are becoming a more popular treatment than partial dentures and conventional bridges. They provide a long-term solution, slow down bone loss and preserve surrounding healthy tooth tissue whilst restoring confidence and function for eating, speaking and laughing.
