Established in 1967, Pierce Street Elementary School offers a range of educational programs for more than 300 students in grades three through five. The school provides instruction in physical education, music and fine arts. It offers special education programs for students with learning difficulties. Pierce Street Elementary School provides a variety of food options for breakfast and lunch. The school offers transportation services, as well as operates a parent-teacher organization that organizes family fun nights. It also conducts classes in reading and math and is a part of the Tupelo Public School District, which governs several elementary, middle and high schools. The district operates finance and human resources departments.
