Warehouse Market is one of the oldest chains of family-owned discount grocery stores. Clint V. Cox and his son Clint V. Cox Jr. opened the first Warehouse Market store in 1938 in Tulsa, Okla. The company operates more than 15 stores in Tulsa, Turley, Sand Springs, Broken Arrow, Sapulpa, Claremore, Okmulgee and Oklahoma City, Okla. Warehouse Market employs more than 1,200 employees. In addition, the company buys directly from food manufacturers, and it maintains its own warehouse along with a fleet of delivery trucks. The company specializes in a range of products that includes home supplies, grocery items, and natural and organic foods. It operates seafood, meat, bakery and produce departments.
