- Dental Care
- VaccinationRegular checkups, vaccinations and screenings are part of preventive care, which is vital to detecting issues early, for healthier, happier pets.
- Veterinary OphthalmologyWe offer a wide range of services including: vaccines, wellness, in-house labs, surgeries, dentistry, ophthalmology, oncology, and dermatology just to name a few. Many services would require our doctor to examine your pet in order to provide you with a complete estimate, however, you will find here some commonly requested services that will not require a prior visit. Please note that we will make every attempt to keep our prices up to date on our website, however prices are subject to change without notice.
- Comprehensive ExaminationWhen you were a child, you had to get a whole series of vaccines. As an adult these vaccines only need to be boosted periodically. Some, like the flu vaccine, still need to be received annually. The same is true for pets. The schedule and timing of vaccines is extremely important to promote the proper protection. We give more vaccines to the young pet and start decreasing the frequency of some as they get older. Some vaccines still need to be given annually, however. We do not vaccinate all pets the same. It depends on their age, prior vaccine history, overall health and risk of exposure. We are pro-vaccination but anti-overvaccination. We also strongly recommend an annual physical examination and tests to detect heartworms and intestinal parasites. We also have the option of checking vaccine titers for pets. This may help eliminate having to give some vaccines. (Please note that even if a pet has circulating antibodies, it does not guarantee they will be protected against disease.)
- Parasites Treatment and ControlAll pets undergoing anesthesia must have a negative heartworm test on file within the last 12 months. We can perform this test the day of the dental (for an additional charge of $48) if needed. If your pet is over 10 years old, we will do a more extensive bloodwork profile. The additional cost is $38.

- Veterinary SurgeryThe prospect of your pet having a surgical procedure may seem scary, but it doesn’t need to be. At Kindness Animal Hospital your pet is in good hands. Whether it is an elective procedure or an emergency surgery, we do everything possible to keep your pet safe. Before a procedure your pet will be examined by the doctor, have an intravenous catheter placed and have pre-operative blood tests performed. Pain medication is given both before and after the procedure. We utilize a heated surgery table for your pet’s comfort and well-being. In addition to using a monitor that alerts us to changes in your pet’s body temperature, heart rate and blood oxygen level, a veterinary assistant constantly monitors and assesses your pet and records their vitals during their procedure. We monitor them after the procedure as well, until they are awake and alert enough to be fed breakfast.
- Declawing
- Spaying and NeuteringPlease be advised that our spays and neuters are all inclusive. We encourage you to check our prices with other veterinary clinics, but please make sure their prices include pre-anesthetic bloodwork, catheter and fluids, and pain medicine to go home. Some may not offer or include these. It is good medicine to make sure your pet is healthy, safe and pain free before, during and after their procedure. Your human doctor would not let you go through a procedure without it, why should we?
- Veterinary Euthanasia
- Laboratory ServicesOur diagnostic laboratory allows us get results in minutes. We can perform blood chemistries, CBCs, electrolytes, thyroid levels, urinalysis, tests for feline leukemia, feline immunodeficiency virus, heartworm disease, Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis, cytology, and fecal analysis. For more advanced testing we have twice daily FedEx pickups for a larger laboratory.
- X-RayRadiographs, or x-rays, can help us detect bone and joint injuries, foreign objects, obstructions, enlarged organs, pneumonia, tumors and many other conditions. Digital radiography allows us to obtain higher quality diagnostic images than traditional x-ray units. They are also much quicker and greatly decrease the amount of radiation exposure. Because the images are digital, they can be immediately transmitted to a radiologist for interpretation if necessary.
- Dental RadiologyBecause many dental issues occur below the gum line, extractions are not included in the above prices. The need for extractions can only be determined after reviewing your pets dental x-rays and performing a physical examination of each tooth. To be respectful of everyone’s budget, you may elect to: extract as needed, do not exceed $.xx amount or, do not extract at all. This can be selected at the time of your pet’s dental check-in.

- Boarding
- GroomingRegular grooming can help your dog stay cool. While it’s important not to shave your dog’s coat entirely (as it provides insulation from heat and sun), regular brushing helps remove loose fur and prevents matting, which can trap heat. If your dog has a particularly thick coat, consider professional grooming or trimming to keep them comfortable.
