      General Info
      Tulsa Health Department offers a range of health care services for area residents. The department offers services in the areas of personal health, family planning, community and environmental health, emergency care, food safety, and testing and immunizations. THD performs more than 11,000 inspections of over 3,500 food service establishments annually to ensure food is unadulterated, prepared and handled in sanitary conditions. It offers child, adult and maternal health services and offers yearly physical check-ups. Its community health services comprise school health and outreach programs. The department s environmental services cover the areas of sanitation, housing code compliance, dead bird surveillance program, and rodent and mosquito control. It also provides laboratory service for water testing and lead-based paint testing. The department is located in Tulsa, Okla.
