I as well wanted to give this store a zero rating. I was so excited to upgrade my refrigerator but what I wanted wasnt in the budget. So I went here. My ladies sales person was so nice and not pushy. But when the store manager was checking me out it went downhill real fast. He was very, very pushy with the extended warranty so much so that we said yes just to shut him up and get on with it. Before we ever started I had asked if my form of payment was accepted, he said yes. He then kept insisting my husband and I both do the leasing which I didnt want to do. When we went to finalize, my form of payment was not accepted. He then, as was the whole transaction, was talking so loud everyone could hear our personal business. He proceeded to say we should drive to the bank, and why dont we have a debit card to that account...etc. I left in disgust, and vowed to not go back. But I loved the unit so much that I went back giving benefit of doubt. I nicely asked to make a complaint to the store manager about the previous day. He was the store manager. But I didn't hold back, and nicely gave him constructive criticism. He was so arrogant and rude. I still proceeded with sale, sales guy and I marked what was wrong with fridge. I took pictures and went on my way. I then got a call the day before delivery from another manager stating I didnt pay shipping, which I did. I complained to him about my experience and he was rude as well. Delivery came and it has way more damage then reported. I took pictures of delivery drivers unloading without protecting the fridge. They blamed sears loading team. I called and spoke to manager I had talked to the day before, his response was "was there really more damage or did you just not write it down".....needless to say I will be making sure everyone doesnt buy sears garbage and how terrible customer service was. I will also be calling corporate.

I wanted to give the store a 0 rating. I ordered a refrigerator in February and received a receipt and a delivery note that someone will be contacting me to arrange the delivery. No phone call. I check back with Sears to find out they lost my order, but had my payment. I am told that I have to order a another one and they would have it delivered. to confirm the delivery, I have called the store 7 times of which 5 were disconnected; each time having to go thru the phone pitch. I asked for the manager to call me, but no call. I went to the store to see the manager, but he was too busy to see me. I don't know how this store is going to stay in business if they treat everyone the way they have treated me. When I did talk to the women working their, they were as helpful and they can be; it's the management that needs some customer service training. Cross this Surplus store off my list for future orders.

The man who helped me was very, very nice and helpful BUT, the fridge that I was looking for WASN'T there. I doubt that it ever HAD been there. The salesman there suggested that I try the Sears store at the mall in Federal Way and I did. The salesman there was also very nice. That Sears also did not have the refrigerator that I was looking for but I saw a "White" one (instead of my preferred black) and I liked the White one. The problem for me is even though the price was "reduced" but it was still too high for me. But, the biggest deterrent for me was that Sears CHARGES for DELIVERY and PICKUP. All in all, Sears has become WAY too sneaky in their charges.."plans", and ETC.! I hear that Sears is having "some problems" these days and I'm fading in my wish that Sears makes it out of whatever slump they might be in.
