My wifes jetta had been making an extremely loud ticking from the engine and could not determine what it was. We had a friends mechanic take a look and said it was the lifters. We called around the dealerships to price it and they said to flush the oil system first that buildup was a known issue. They wanted 750 for the flush alone, we found independent online who quoted us 400 for the flush. We scheduled and appointment. I was at work so my wife had to take my daughters with her to the appointment. When they told us it would be a three hour job they took her to the mall while they waited. After getting the car on the lift before flushing the system they determined a flush wouldnt fix the problem and it was much bigger than that. They then left her car at the shop placed the car seats in their own and picked up my wife and explained our fix would need the system flush but the part alone would be 700, with nearly 2k to fix total. Instead the mechanic offered to trade us his jetta for ours and cash and cash so we had a sound running car. Because they didnt do the flush knowing it wouldnt solve the problem that saved us 400 dollars and with a few hundred extra from savings we will have a dependable auto at a managable cost. While i cannot speak for their work at this point i can speak to their honesty and genuine service that you cannot find in a mechanic you dont personally know, very often. I dont know very many audi or vw owners but if I should hear any of anyone in need independent will be the place i send them too first. They didnt make a killing off us by scalping us on service but i do hope i can return the favor and bring them business that they can profit on.

Very professional service. They had my Jetta for 5 minutes and told me the problem. They fixed it at a Very reasonable price and I was out of there in less than 1 hour. I'll definitely be back for Any future problems.
